Guilt and Ginataan: 02/10/25
Guilt and Ginataan by Mia P. Manansala and Danice Cabanela (Narrator) (2024) is the fifth book in the Tita Rosie's Kitchen mysteries. It's autumn and the Brew-ha Café crew is serving up corn themed treats for the annual Shady Palms Corn Festival. Unfortunately the wife of nearby Shelbyville is found murdered in one of the massive corn mazes. Adeena Awan of the Brew-ha Café is the prime suspect. She was found with the woman's body. She was seen flirting earlier, despite the woman being married. She swears she didn't do it and Lila and Elena believe her. But they need to figure out who actually did it. I have to admit I was more carried away in the various corn recipes than I was in figuring out who had committed the murder. I'm usually more on top of these things when I read but this one took me by surprise. Five stars Comments (0) |
