It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (January 22)
Hosted by Kathryn of Book Date.

All in all it was a quiet week. The only excitement was being able to pick up a painting I first inquired about in October. "Destination Unknown" was part of a series of road landscapes done in oil by a local artist named Nicole Leming. Her art was on display at the library. Destination Unknown ©2017 Nicole Leming

Quiet is a good thing. :) I thought Lemons was cute.

I agree on both points.

Nice variety of books. I sort of miss reading middle grade books these days but I seldom get offered them for review and have enough to read that I haven't visited my local public library yet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

I stopped accepting ARCs and eGalleys for review. That freed up my reading for things I wanted to read when I wanted to read them. A lot of what I'm reading now are Cybils books that I'm re-reading for fun.

Nice piece of art, nothing nicer than having a piece of art that speaks to you on your wall.

It was a nice find and at an opportune time.

Nice art! I like that one. It's always a great feeling to pick up a piece of artwork that you like, especially if it's one that you've wanted for a while or one that really speaks to you.

Hope you like A Darkness Absolute! I enjoyed that one.

I would like to support other local artists. Before in the condo we just hung our own artwork: my acrylics or photographs, my husband's mathematical art, or whatever our kids had done. But now we have enough room for a greater variety.

Oh wow, that is a WHOLE LOT of reading. Lots of graphic novels, too! I really am looking forward to sinking my teeth into Locke and Key soonest.

I read two graphic novels and reviewed two. I've only read half of Locke & Key.

I am. I am hoping to finish it this week but I have some library books that are due soon; they have to come first.
