It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (August 07): 08/07/17
The painting is done. The old washer and dryer have been hauled away. The range and fume hood will be delivered later today. The final cleaning will be done and the house staged by the end of the week. If all goes to plan, our house will be on the market this coming weekend.

Comment #3: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 03:07:46 Some great looking books, enjoy and all the best for the sale. Comment #4: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 13:11:00 Pussreboots Thanks. Hopefully next week the open house will happen. Comment #5: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 06:38:19 Quite a diverse set of books here! Hope you enjoy reading them! Here's my current reads. I have Zeroes on my list, but haven't gotten to it yet. I really liked Painted Queen on audio. HOpe you do too. Comment #8: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 13:17:00 Pussreboots It's almost on the market. It's there for potential interested buyers to know about but it won't go fully on the market until this coming weekend. I am about a quarter of the way through Painted Queen and I am enjoying it. Comment #9: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 09:47:41 Interesting books! And congrats on moving things along on your sale of the house. Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a great week. Comment #10: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 13:22:00 Pussreboots Thank you and you're welcome. Comment #11: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 11:15:10 Kathy Martin I got an ebook of The Painted Queen but need to read some review books before I have a place for it on my calendar. Come see my week here. Happy reading! Comment #12: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 13:25:00 Pussreboots I have a bunch of books that are coming due while we're on vacation (in two weeks!) Those are my only deadlines for reading. Comment #13: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 11:43:16 Sounds like things are going well with getting the house ready to sell. How was Fifteen Dogs? I've seen it on quite a few blogs but I haven't picked it up yet. Comment #14: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 13:28:00 Pussreboots I liked the concept of Fifteen Dogs but found the execution of it a bit dry. It's sort of a mixture of I Thought You Were Dead and Plague Dogs. Comment #15: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 20:05:06 Good luck with your house sale! Cozies are a genre I've recently started reading, and some of the ones you've listed sound interesting. Will add them to my TBR. Hope you enjoy them! Comment #16: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 21:06:00 Pussreboots Cozies are good especially in times when you want a bit of a puzzle but don't want to commit to a long or deep book. Right now since I've been reading so many, I'm featuring a mystery review each Wednesday. Comment #17: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 21:15:02 Good luck on the move! Hopefully you'll have a quick sale! Comment #18: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 21:09:00 Pussreboots I hope so too. There's a house on the market near us that we're really interested in. It's been on the market for as long as we've been trying to get our place ready. I hope it's there long enough so we can see it in person. Comment #19: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 22:04:36 Sarah, how do you do it? So many books and reviews in a week and you're in the process of moving/selling a house. I want your energy! Have a great week. Comment #20: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 21:18:00 Pussreboots I have many books going at one time. The three I post as "currently reading" each week are the three I am closest to finishing or am otherwise most focused on. Some weeks a bunch of the books I've been slowly reading for weeks all finish in the course of a few days of each other (as happened this week with Race to the Bottom of the Sea and Giant Trouble and Poison Kiss. We're at the stage in the move where we're mostly waiting on vendors. Since there's literally nothing in my old place, I spend my time sitting by the phone or in my car, reading, while I wait. I write reviews at night while my husband watches TV. I have about four months worth of reviews written and planned out. Of course I change them up as I read new things but I do have these prewritten posts to fall back on when there are nights when I just don't want to do much with the blog but still want to get new content on it. Comment #21: Monday, August 07, 2017 at 07:06:04 Yay for getting the house on the market. I have Zeroes on my list, but haven't gotten to it yet. I really liked Painted Queen on audio. Hope you do too. Comment #22: Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at 20:54:00 Pussreboots My son recommended Zeroes to me but I found the set up a bit slow. There are tons of really short chapters and multiple points of view. I probably would have liked it better if I hadn't had a migraine when I finished it. Painted Queen I'm about a third of the way through and I'm really enjoying it. Comment #23: Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at 09:19:40 Poem Fanatic@Poems and Poets I love how you read so many different types of books each week! Comment #24: Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at 20:57:00 Pussreboots Thanks! I try to keep my focus broad. Comment #25: Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at 10:56:14 You've got some interesting looking books there! Happy reading! Comment #26: Tuesday, August 08, 2017 at 21:00:00 Pussreboots Thank you. Same to you. |
