Bird & Squirrel on Fire!: 02/14/17
Bird & Squirrel On Fire by James Burks is the fourth book in the graphic novel series and it feels like a good place to end it. Bird and Squirrel are home after all their misadventures — falling off the mountain, ending up in Antarctica, fighting wolves. But even the old home and neighborhood doesn't stay the same. Someone or something has started terrorizing the forest animals. Then upstream, the water's been stopped but an overly eager beaver.
Being home has given Squirrel too much temptation to fall into his old ways. His phobias and anxiety are back in full force. He just wants to crawl into bed and stay there. Fortunately for him, he has Bird and he has a new friend too, Red. The lesson here for Squirrel is that it's okay to be anxious. It's okay to be depressed. And when you are, reach out to your friends and family. Five stars Comments (0) |
