Kitten's Autumn: 01/25/12
Kitten's Autumn by Eugenie Fernandes is the follow up to Kitten's Spring and Kitten's Summer. Done in a "multimedia collage" (see the Paper Tiger interview), the artwork has the clarity and depth of a diorama. In the story, an adorable calico kitten takes a walk through the forest, observing the wildlife. The cat's explorations are recorded in rhyming quartets. The language is sparse but poetic, easy enough for a beginning reader to handle but interesting enough to use in a group story time. Four stars. Comments (0) |
