True Things (Adults Don't Want Kids to Know): 12/23/11
True Things (Adults Don't Want Kids to Know) is the sixth Amelia Rules graphic novel by Jimmy Gownley. It's the only one I've read. I liked the title and though I would give it a try. Amelia is turning eleven and is having a birthday party. Aunt Tanner sings a special song, an event that is apparently a rare thing indeed. Amelia also gets her first crush and has to deal with the roller coaster of emotions she's feeling and how those feelings are affecting her friends and family. The graphic novel was okay but not something where I want to start at the beginning of the series. I never really felt a connection to any of the characters. Fans of the series though will probably like to see Amelia's first crush and what she learns from it. Three stars. Comments (0) |
